TK and Kindergarten students learned about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, then created their own mini balloons and used Sphero indi robots to hold their own mini parades! 🎈🤖

After reading Balloons Over Broadway, 3rd grade students in Mrs. Ferguson, Mrs. Garrison, Mrs. Plein, and Mrs. Wright’s classes created their own Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade balloons! 🎈

Our preschoolers have been learning about balance using materials from an Iowa Scale-Up STEM grant! They’ve had multiple opportunities to explore stability, balance, and spatial relations through a moveable fulcrum, pan scales, games, stepping stones, and tops. 🌀

2nd grade invited their families into the classrooms for their Literacy Showcase! ✨

Students read a poem they picked out, talked about the words they were able to visualize, and shared the picture they drew of their visualization. After that, they read their Thanksgiving stories, which shared what they are thankful for. It was so fun getting the opportunity to share and celebrate their hard work! 📚

Congratulations to our 5th grade students for Trotting to Triumph!

Our 5th graders were the winners of this year’s Turkey Trot Math Challenge, where the goal was to gobble up growth on Freckle—and wow, did they deliver!

To celebrate their incredible effort over the past three weeks, students enjoyed an action-packed dodgeball tournament, where Ms. Coleman’s class added another victory to their winning streak! 🏆🔥

We are so proud of the hard work and growth our students continue to show each and every day. Way to go, 5th grade!
