 Van Meter Secondary 2nd Semester Test Schedule

Be sure to check the lunch schedules for the week. All meaterials will need to be returned to the appropriate teacher, all computers will need to be returned to Mr. Linde, and lockers will need to be cleaned out prior to leaving on Wednesday, May 23.

Monday, May 21- 

HS students will have open campus during periods they do not have class. HS students will not have class 7thperiod unless they make arrangements to take a semester test early. They will be dismissed to go home unless they do not have a ride. HS students who do not have a ride or permission to go home from parents will report to 7th period for study hall. Students in grades 6-8 will report to their normal 7th period class.

5th period              11:58-1:44
                  1st Lunch           11:56-12:16 (Biology, Adv. Math, Alg. I, English I, Spanish II)
                  2nd Lunch          12:13-12:33 (English III, US History, 3D Art, 8
th Grade)
                  3rd Lunch           12:28-12:48 (Work Place Readiness, World History, Music Theory)
                  4th Lunch           12:40-1:00 (6
th Grade, 7th Grade, Music Theory, Drafting)
7th period              
1:49-3:15- Only HS students without a ride home or without permission to leave from their parents will report to 7th period. All 6th -8th grade students will have 7th period.



Tuesday, May 22-

8th period                1:49-3:15- Only HS students without a ride home or without permission to leave from their parents will report to 8th period. All 6th-8th-grade students will have 8th period.



Wednesday, May 23-
Students will need to return all materials to their respective teachers, clean out their lockers, and return their laptops to Mr. Linde.  All students will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. and will follow the schedule below. HS students with permission from their parents and who have turned in their computer and all other District owned materials will be allowed to leave after they have completed all exams. All 6
th-8th-grade and remaining HS students will report to Seminar following 8th period classes.

7th Period           8:30-9:56       (Juniors and Sophomores will turn in computers)
8th Period          10:01-11:27    (Freshman and 8th graders will turn in computers)
Seminar              11:31-1:30     (All 7th and 6th graders and remaining students from other grades will turn in computers)
1st Lunch           11:57-12:17   (6th Grade)
2nd Lunch         12:15-12:35   (7th Grade)
3rd Lunch          12:33-12:53  (8th Grade and Any HS students that remain)

Graduation/Senior Awards Night

2012 Van Meter Graduation Ceremony

Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2012 will be held Sunday May 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Van Meter Schools.  Everyone is welcome to join the celebration with our graduating class.   Parents, grandparents, and siblings of the graduates are welcome to use the floor seating.  Friends and other family members of the graduates are welcome to use our bleachers.  We hope to see you there to help us recognize and congratulate the Class of 2012.
